If you are a history buff you won’t want to miss out on this one.  For me the crusades were always confusing and slightly overwhelming in their complexity and scope.  This work sets the crusades within their historical context so that the reader can easily understand what led to the crusades and the sociopolitical realities that the crusades were intended to deal with.
